Columbia River Gorge

Columbia River Gorge

Today, I drove down the Columbia River Gorge to Mt. Hood. It was a beautiful drive with great views and wonderful waterfalls. It was a great drive--the temperatures were cool this morning and there were not a lot of cars on the road.

I drove on to Hood River, Oregon which is a beautiful little town on the Columbia River with great views of Mt. Hood. There are also lots of great fruit growing areas in the vicinity. The cherries have just begun to come in and are very sweet and incredibly cheap. Today was also Lavendar Daze in the valley. I was able to cut lavendar and look out on some beautiful fields of purple. It is a really beautiful area and I loved the small town of Hood River.

I am including some photos of the waterfalls, the views and the lavendar. Enjoy!
